I looked around for a while after arriving and finally found the Lufthansa check-in counter amongst the sea of queues inside the Naples airport. I was the only one in line, so checking in was quick and painless.
After clearing security, I made my way over to the lounge, directly across from my gate in Terminal 1.
Caruso Lounge, Naples Airport
As this was a rather small airport, I was pleased to find they had a lounge at all. The space was very clean and simple and they had a decent buffet with a few snacks to hold you over until your flight.

Headed to Munich
Lufthansa flight 1931
NAP [Naples] to MUC [Munich]
October 25, 2017
Depart: 6:05 AM
Arrive: 7:45 AM
Duration: 1hr40min
Aircraft: A320
Seat: 1F
Boarding began on time and we headed through the gate and down the stairs to board our plane from the ground level.

Once onboard, I was glad went ahead and booked the first row, even though Seatguru had stated that the seats were less than optimal. Every row but the first one had only economy-level legroom.

My favorite feature of the seat was the tray table. Instead of placing it within the armrest and reducing seat width, it was located on the bulkhead wall, giving me not only a sturdy place to work, but allowed me to have an extra inch or so of seat width.

One we took off, the crew came around to distribute meals and hand out warm bread.

Although the meal didn’t reach the level of what I had for breakfast on Turkish Airlines, a few days prior, It was definitely quite solid considering we were in the air for a little over an hour.
The best part of my flight by far though, was the view I got of the sunrise over the Austrian Alps. I’m very glad I picked a seat on the right side of the plane.

Off to Frankfurt
Lufthansa flight 99
MUC [Munich] to FRA [Frankfurt]
October 25, 2017
Depart: 9:00 AM
Arrive: 10:00 AM
Duration: 1hr0min
Aircraft: A320
Seat: 1F
For my next flight, I once again grabbed a seat in the front row of the plane, giving me some much needed legroom.
After takeoff, we were once again served a light meal, which turned out to be very similar to the one I had a couple hours prior.

Overall, I found the service on my flights to be simple. polite, and carried out with the efficiency you’d expect on a German airline.
As good as the service was, if I wasn’t paying for my flight with miles as part of an international itinerary, I’d definitely be riding in coach though, as the fares for Lufthansa’s European business class don’t really seem to be worth it for such a short flight.
For my next post, I’ll be reviewing Lufthansa’s lounges in Munich and Frankfurt.
